I worked with Mike to purchase a home in northeastern Connecticut after my good friend who works in the real estate industry recommended I reach out. I had already found a couple homes I wanted to see and after speaking with Mike on the phone for the first time at like 6pm he said he would see what he could do about making appointments and a couple hours later he had both houses lined up for me to view the next evening - I was blown away! We ended up viewing 5 homes overall and he never complained about the driving, which I felt a little bad about making him do as he never required me to drive to his office (all documents were signed electronically which was incredibly convenient), but I brought him a coffee as a small token of appreciation (FYI he likes his coffee iced with milk & sugar, if you want to follow suit!). For the house I ended up picking, I brought an army of people with me (my dad, my boyfriend and my boyfriend's parents) and Mike took it in stride. He never did a sales pitch or tried to rush me. He seemed genuinely interested in each house, and even helped us out during the inspection finding hidden GFCIs and climbing up ladders with a flashlight to get a better handle on things as they came up. His demeanor and knowledge impressed me so much and he was such a wonderful presence... I could not have asked for a better person to juggle all the moving parts that are required during a real estate transaction. Mike was always available and he was fine with communicating over text (for us millennials lol) but jumped on calls whenever I needed more of an explanation. I know he had other clients (because I asked), but he never made me feel like I wasn't his top priority (and my house was <$300k so it wasn't like money was the driving factor) and he never got the details mixed up. I didn't have to remind him of context when asking questions - he just was so on top of everything and I'm sure he was making each of his other clients feel equally important. That isn't a skill one can learn and there are plenty of people who get into this business for one reason or another but are not as naturally qualified to be a realtor as Mike is. There were plenty of bumps that came up in my real estate transaction and I can say with total confidence that aside from actually moving into my new home, Mike was the best part of the journey and I am so fortunate he was on my team.

The decision to meet Mike Pereira came to us as reference from a mutual friend. Mike quickly exchanged numbers and met at our house to discuss our goals. I noticed quickly that Mike was extremely professional, knowledgeable and listened - that is the important part, listening and understanding. He came well prepared with a market analysis to compare our property with the current market. Mike wanted to be as straightforward and transparent as possible. He told my wife and me it would be challenge but worth it in the end. He was spot on with this comment. He said if we were willing to go “all in” and not cut corners, to listen to his recommendations, then our house would sell for the highest possible dollar amount. He was right – through the negotiation process, we were able to receive asking price for our home. Mike was always there when we had a question, even if that happened to be late at night or on a weekend. I can certainly describe his level of service to be “white glove”. He met and exceeded our expectations. There was not one time during this process that we felt Mike did not have our best interest in mind. We have dealt with other real estate agents in the past that would always push us to spend more, or try to sway us to purchase a property that was not a fit, but this was not Mike’s style. Mike knew what our family needed and worked as a partner with us to fulfill our goals. Maybe that is what sets him apart from the rest. You could hire a real estate “agent” or you could hire a real estate “professional”. I highly recommend him, and although buying and selling a home is complicated, challenging and full of emotional decisions, Mike is the person you want guiding you through that process.

As first time home buyers we needed someone knowledgeable, trustworthy, and available. Mike checked all those boxes and more. Mike was flexible and always worked around our schedules. I felt as though he truly had out best interest in mind as we searched for our home. He was a wealth of knowledge regarding repairs and updates and helped us negotiate and close a great deal. There is no one I would recommend more to my family and friends. Keep up the great work!

Working with Mike was as easy as working with family... if not, easier! My husband & I first met with Mike in our home to prepare to list it. He was very respectful, provided clear feedback & a checklist. He stayed in contact with us daily as we made some minor updates & really listened when we told him what we needed from our next home. He worked hard to sell our 1st home & find our 2nd home. The closings were within hours of each other & he kept us calm & collected every step of the way. I don't think I can possibly recommend Mike Pereira highly enough, but I'm going to try. I've been a reluctant landlady for about 10 years. Mike was my buyers agent back in 2007, so I called him up a year ago and asked him to put my Providence 2 family on the market. He worked on market analysis for a few days and called me back with an honest report: homes in my neighborhood were still underpriced, and it wasn't a great time to sell. I was gutted, but I trusted Mike, and I waited patiently until about a month ago. This time, Mike did the research and came back with exactly what I'd hoped to hear; now was the time, and we were ready to go on the market. Timing is everything, or so they say. But who could have imagined that Mike would manage to list, sell, and close my deal within a single month. And not only was Mike able to negotiate a great deal for me in record time, his advice that I wait a year, at the risk of his own commission, netted us an estimated 20% more on the sale. Unbelievable vision on his part. As for the nitty gritty of the job, once I hired Mike, I didn't have to lift a finger, Mike dealt with potential buyers, my tenants, all the red tape and paperwork I wanted to avoid: you name it, he did it. And because I trust him, I didn't worry for an instant that something would be amiss. Nothing about this process could have been easier, and I'm deeply grateful today, as I wake up to life without tenants. Michael was just wonderful! We started our process in May of 2016, alone. We went to countless open houses to check out neighborhoods, styles of homes, and most importantly interview realtors (approximately 35). Just like when you find the right home your yourself, you will know instantly that Mike is who you want to be your realtor! I couldn't have asked for him to be more professional. knowledgeable, or responsive to my questions. I think it has even gotten to the point where he can almost predict what I will ask him next. He was so patient and understanding, not only with us (the buyers,) but also the other agents, lenders, lawyers and sellers. He was instrumental in us finding our new home. He takes the time to ask all kinds of questions, so that he knows exactly what we were looking for, and when I was over reaching. He never told me NO, we shouldn't look at that one, he understands that it's all a learning process. And he is the person there to remind you, what you asked for in the first place, when one might get sidetracked. Our next step, I wouldn't have asked for anyone else but Mike to undertake the task of selling our current home.

Mike was a pleasure to work with, he is incredibly knowledgeable of the area and real estate in general. He has a lot of experience with various types of situations (short sale, for closures, etc) as well as has a variety of industry knowledge.
